Littlefield, AZ – David Owen Tanner , 60, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, with his family by his side, in St. George, Utah. He was born September 28, 1956 in Bountiful, Utah to Owen Ray and Ina LaVonne (Bonnie) Tanner. He has been residing in Littlefield, Arizona for the last year.
David served a mission in Calgary, Canada and received his education at EITC in Idaho Falls. He married Karen Passey on September 9, 1978. They later divorced. David worked at the INEL as a security guard. He married Tammie Wardle on March 19, 1988 in Las Vegas and worked for DOE in Santa Barbara, California and later Rocky Flats in the Denver Colorado area. In recent years he and Tammie lived in Nevada and Arizona to be near his mother.
David enjoyed life, his family and his dogs. He loved his wife, Tammie, of 29 years and their children.
David and Tammie enjoyed traveling and were able to go on several cruises. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Weston, his son, said "I always thought it was special that dad always took me fishing and camping. He taught me how to play golf."
David is survived by his wife; children: Weston Ray (Megan), Jill, Karen (Luke) Pattee, Melissa Pattee, and John (Shayla) Pattee; grandchildren: Dakota Pattee, Morgan Stromberg, Sara Pattee, Jackson Tanner, Dylan Pattee, Kennedy Tanner, Allyson Stromberg, Amelia Tanner; mother; brother, Steven (Bonnie); sisters: Lori (Bryan) Johnson, Denise (Greg) Hope and Renae (Kevin) Oswald. He is preceded in death by his father, and his daughter, Kara Ann.
