Obituary

St. George ,Utah - We lost a Utah Jazz fan February 23, 2013, if there is a Jazz Fan Club in Heaven she will be there. DeAun Black Anderson passed away on the day but will be cheering for her favorite basketball team, the Utah Jazz.

DeAun was born September 11, 1926 to Geneva Bennett and Willis Eugene Black. She married her sweetheart, Harold Ashby Anderson January 15, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple; they were a great couple that worked well together. They had many wonderful experiences, traveling to Europe, Holland, and other European countries. They supported each others endeavors. They shared 66 years together before the Lord reached out to her and beckoned her home.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; daughters: Julie (Frank) Belger of Henderson, NV, and Jill (Evan) Johnson of St. George, UT. She had nine wonderful grandchildren: Patrice Martinez, Kristin (Ryan) English, Erica (Carlos) Lueck, Jeremy (Laura) Johnson, Marissa (Bula) Andresen, Micah (Nick) Boulton, Nate (Kimberly) Johnson, James Edward Belger and Marnie (Jimmy) Leonard. She was fortunate enough to interact and love all of her 21 great-grandchildren, a great-granddaughter she will kiss before her birth and a great-great-grandson. DeAun is also survived by her three sisters: Beth Frampton, Carol Frampton and Edna Hodges; brother, Ben (Genece) Black. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva and Willis Black; brother, Eugene Black; sister, Joyce Monroe and her infant son, Brooks.

She worked in the Welfare Office in Fillmore, Utah until she and Harold decided to move to Logan, Utah so Harold could get his degree in Civil Engineering. While in Logan, she worked in the Deans Office as a secretary, she also took some classes. Both She and Harold shared in the raising of their two daughters as well as worked on college degrees. She also was the secretary in the Deans Office at Dixie College during that time she took classes and tutored other students. She was very friendly to all that went to school there and made life-long friends.

She was always active in the LDS Church; holding many jobs in the Young Womens program, Relief Society and Sunday School positions. She most recently enjoyed her visiting teaching assignment. She loved her Relief Society sisters dearly and looked forward to their monthly luncheons. The friendships she established throughout her life were cherished.
