Springdale, Utah - DeBeth Steed Dickman, 92, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on June 2, 2013. She was born January 19, 1921 in Nephi, Utah to Della Elizabeth and Glenn W. Steed. On June 10, 1942, DeBeth married Vernon F. Dickman in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, DeBeth was a kind and pleasant woman with a true love of the world and all people. She traveled with her husband to many countries and made friends all along the way.

Always an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School and was a cherished Young Womens leader. She was a temple worker in the St. George Temple and also served a full-time mission with her husband in the Stockholm, Sweden Temple. Always positive, she set a good example for everyone. Artistic and articulate, DeBeth could write a poem for every occasion.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Vernon F. Dickman; her children: Gina Johnstun, Vernon G.W., Glenn S. And Julie D. Spencer; 19 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Springdale LDS Ward Chapel, 1584 Zion Park Blvd., Springdale, Utah. A viewing will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery.
