IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Williams
Blake
June 14, 1950 – July 9, 2013
IVINS / SANTA CLARA - Deborah Williams Blake, 63, passed away on July 9, 2013 after a five year battle with cancer. She was born on June 14, 1950, to Chester Dunford Williams and Carma Davis Williams in Cedar City, Utah. She was raised in Kanarraville, Utah, where she attended grade school. She graduated from Cedar High School, then continued her education at the College of Southern Utah and graduated from Dixie College with an associate's degree.
Debbie married Ronald Lawrence Blake in the St. George LDS Temple on June 20, 1970. Debbie and Ron lived in St. George for the first three and a half years of their marriage where they had their first son, Josh. They then built their home in Santa Clara where their other three children, Anisa, Lucas and Logan, were born. They lived in Santa Clara and raised their children there. Three years ago they built a new home in Ivins, where they have been living since.
Debbie loved to sew, scrapbook, organize her files, do genealogy, and count and name cows at the ranch. She was mainly a homemaker, but worked outside the home when her children were teenagers. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and gave all her effort to each calling that she held, including her service in the cub scouting program for 17 years. She was always kind and generous and put others before herself. She loved her grandchildren very much; they were her reason for fighting cancer so long. Debbie cared very deeply about her family and always put them first in her life.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Carma Williams, and her brother, Jon Chesley Williams. Debbie is survived by her husband, Ronald Blake; her four children: Joshua (Melanie) Blake, Anisa (Ryan) Scholes, Lucas (Shellie) Blake, and Logan (Sydney) Blake; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jeffrey (Ellen) Williams and Michael (Rosalie) Williams.
She left our lives but not our hearts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ivins LDS 1 st Ward (Heritage Chapel), 240 East 1060 South, Ivins, Utah.
