St. George, UT - Dee R. Jacobson, 79, passed away June 13, 2012, in St. George, Utah. He was born October 21, 1932 in Park City, Utah to John L. and Myrle Casper Jacobson. He married Betty Lenora Wardell in Midway, Utah on January 12, 1957. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and was an Eagle Scout.

Dee is survived by his children: Illene (Kyle) Dansie of Salt Lake City, Utah; John Jacobson of Riverton, Utah and Jolene (Martin) Manke of Las Vegas, Nevada; his siblings: Hal Jacobson of Renton, Washington; Bonnie Simons of St. George, Utah and Max (Bonnie) Jacobson of Cedar City, Utah; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rio Virgin Estates Clubhouse, 2990 E. Riverside Drive, St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.

Graveside services will be at the Midway Cemetery on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. under the direction of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber City, Utah, 435-654-1161.
