Obituary

Dee Esta Rhea Bridges, age 72, passed away October 14, 2013 in St. George, Utah. She was born October 11, 1941 in Tooele, Utah to Kenneth Orville Rhea and Eunice Campbell Rhea. Dee Esta is survived by her husband Lannie, her children: Damon S. Bridges (Margaret), Daren R. Bridges (Charlotte), Holly Erickson (Kevin Martin), Travis E. Bridges (Stacey), 7 grandchildren: Kyle S. Bridges, Cody A. Bridges, Cameron Erickson, Jared Bridges, Erika Bridges, Wyatt Bridges, and Hattie Bridges, and 3 brothers and 4 sisters: Kenneth Rhea, Robert Rhea, Terrence Rhea, Alice Monosso, Bonita Sanchez, Barbara Oldham, Colleen Wheeler. Dee grew up in Tooele, Utah with her 7 brothers and sisters and even at an early age she loved music and played piano. She married Lannie, her high school sweetheart, on December 21, 1961 and soon after they moved to South Dakota while Lannie was in the Air Force. They moved to Salt Lake City and started their young family while Lannie attended college and Dee worked at the FBI office in Salt Lake City. Lannies work would take them to Portland, OR, Chicago, IL and Great Falls, MT. During this time she worked for over 26 years for various U.S. Government agencies, finally retiring and settling in St. George with Lannie in 1997. Dees love for music was a constant influence in her life, a passion she passed to all of her children and grandchildren. Cross-stitch and other needle and yarn crafts were Dees passions and she has created hundreds of beautiful pieces that will forever be held sacred by her family Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Snow Canyon LDS 11th Ward Chapel, 1625 N. Lava Flow Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at Tonaquint Cemetery.
