St. George, Utah " Dena Louine Reynolds Sylvester, age 83, passed away July 31 ^st , 2014 at her home. She was born April 25, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Francis M. and Ruth Johnson Reynolds.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (William) Schlant of Vacaville, CA, Roxanne Coyle of St. George, UT, and Jane (David) Crowther of St. George, UT; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; sister Janice (Jerry) Law of St. George, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rex J Sylvester and grandson, Drew Crowther; sister, Marion (Eldon) Crowley of Kenmore, Washington.

She grew up in Idaho, California and St. George, UT. On July 3, 1952 she married Rex J Sylvester in the St. George Temple. They raised their family while living in Texas, Alaska, Oregon, California, South Carolina, Hawaii and eventually back in St. George.

She loved learning, gardening and plants. She was a graduate of both the LDS Business College and Dixie College and was one of the first women to attend Texas A & M.

She used part of her greenhouse space to grow plants from cuttings to give anonymously to people on their birthdays. She successfully taught her children to doorbell ditch so they could assist her. She loved to travel and go camping and had many adventures with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Tonaquint Cemetery. There will be a luncheon to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. at the Sixth Ward Chapel, 85 South 400 East, St. George, UT.
