St. George, Utah - DeVon Swensen Dennison passed away December 22, 2013. He was born March 22, 1938 in Hinckley, Utah to Theodore A. and Edith Swensen Dennison. He married RaNae Jones February 7, 1964 in Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

DeVon lived throughout central Utah before moving to St. George in 1975. He is was known for his work ethic. He loved serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including a full time mission to Denmark. He was recognized for his years in scouting with the Silver Beaver award.

DeVon is survived by his wife, RaNae; children: Eric (Amy), Lisa (Daren) Cottam, Bruce (Kerry), David (Michelle) and Kevin (Molly) and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Scott and Bradley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah where a visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar City Cemetery, Cedar City, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
