IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Devona Johnson
Bradley
August 29, 1941 – December 31, 2012
St. George, UT - DeVona Johnson Bradley, 71, died December 31, 2012 from complications of blood clot induced cardiac arrest in St. George, UT. She was born August 29, 1941 in Logan, UT to Grant & LaRue Johnson. She is survived by her children - Randy Carter, Troy Carter, Michelle Carter Daniels, Shauntelle Carter McPhie, Donnielle Carter, her husband Paul R. Bradley, 18 grandchildren and countless family and friends.
DeVona spent most of her life improving the life of others. Having struggled with her health from an early age she began searching for alternatives when told at the age of 40 that she had 6 months to live. DeVona then became a champion for health and natural healing which saved her life and limitless others. It also led to hosting a health talk radio show for the past 27 years in various places including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, San Diego, Salt Lake City and most recently DeVona's Health & Wellness Show on the KZNU Fox News station here in St. George, UT. Quick witted and quick to laugh, her listeners often recognized her by her laugh alone.
An amazingly generous person, DeVona had a strong devotion and love of her family. Never a day went by that a member of her family didn't hear her voice and her wisdom. She raised a generational family that is close, loving and loves being together. Something that is a rarity in this world, just like her. From the moment people met her, most recognized what a special gift she is.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 12, 2013 at the RidgePointe Homes Community Center from 2-5pm, 1360 E. Telegraph St., Washington, UT. One of DeVona's greatest joys was taking care of her grandchildren and other children she loved on LDS missions. So we ask, in lieu of flowers or gifts please help DeVona's family to continue her tradition of letting those who are away from their family know that they are loved. You can make a donation at any Mountain America Credit Union to the DeVona Johnson Memorial Fund or donations will be accepted at her Celebration of Life or online at www.DeVonasMemorialFund.com. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
DeVona may have been small in stature but her impact on people and the world was vast and never-ending. Thank you for the gift that your generosity continues to be.
