Obituary

St. George, Utah - Diana Barton Roberts,74, passed away on March 4, 2025. She was born on July 28, 1950, in St. George, Utah, to Mona Cox and Cloyd Garth Barton.

Diana grew up in St. George, UT and graduated from Dixie High School in 1968. She married Douglas W Roberts on March 10, 1972, in the St. George, Utah Temple. They had one daughter and two sons. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was able to serve in many different capacities.

Diana worked for the Washington County School District in Food Services. Despite her shy nature, her sweet and gentle demeanor helped create many special friendships with coworkers, teachers, and students alike. When Diana retired, she spent her time baking treats with grandkids, quilting blankets, listening to music, and watching Hallmark movies.

Her absolute greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always so proud of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. She loved taking pictures and videos of her grandchildren. She was always their biggest fan. Her kids always knew they were loved, but those cute grandkids always came first. Diana loved to be around family and make sure they had their favorite treat.  She had a special bond with her sisters and brother and looked forward to each opportunity to hear what was going on in their lives. She was a special lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Diana is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Douglas W; her parents, Garth & Mona Barton; brother, Leon Barton; brother-in-law: Richard Carter; and brother-in-law, Bob Gwilliam.
