Obituary

Washington, Utah – Diane Tueller Bickmore, 91, was born August 14, 1932, in Cedar City, Utah and passed peacefully on March 8, 2024, in St. George, Utah. She joins her eternal companion of 65 earthly years, John J. Bickmore, who passed in October of 2018.

She was the daughter of Lamont Edwin Tueller and Elva Geneva Carlson. She was preceded in death by her brother Blaine Tueller and his wife, Jean. She is survived by brothers Bennion (Elaine) and Rodney (Valene) and her children Steven (Dana), Dawn Hatch (Greg), Tina McKendrick (Jim), Jack (Julie), Kent (Leesa) and Terry (Kim.)

She grew up in Cedar City, Utah and Logan, Utah. She attended Utah State University and was married to John on Feb. 3, 1953, in the Logan Temple.

Diane supported John in his employment as they moved from Washington, Oregon, Las Vegas, NV; El Paso, Tx; San Leandro, CA; Reno, NV; and Lewiston, ID. Through their travels, Diane was always active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in every city participated in teaching and leadership positions in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society.

After retirement, they traveled around the United States before building a home in St. George, Utah. They served their church in the Fort Worth, Texas Mission from 1993 to 1995. They loved helping the LDS missionaries, including their 4 sons and 11 grandchildren. In addition, there are many others that crossed their path and have received their help.

Diane was a loving wife and mother who lived fully, loved deeply, and spoke kindly about everyone. In fact, many of her children's friends treated her as a second mother and she reciprocated the feelings. As her children grew up, their house was frequently the grand central station of activity amid which she was the benevolent conductor of events.
