Don's first wife, Erlene Church, preceded him in death in 1994. He was fortunate to meet and marry Mary Louisa Milem in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Effie Cameron, brothers, Karl, Archie, John A., Fred, Stanton, Arthur, and sisters LaReta, Fay Ella, Enid and Inez (twins), Beverly, Florence, Carma, and DeLoa. He is survived by his brother Dr. D. Elwyn (Laurel, Laquita) Cameron, his loving spouse Mary, his children, Karen Hughey, Michelle (Dale) Nelson, Sally (Joe) Lee, Donald Clark (Melanie) Cameron, Jim, (Sally) Barkalow, Marilyn Gunter; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
