Donald Evan Poore Father, Husband, Best Friend Washington, UT - Donald Evan Poore, 54, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Dixie Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. He was born November 17, 1954, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Donald and Janette Poore. He married Tracy Jo Lords on October 8, 1981, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1972 and served a mission in New Zealand. He continued to serve in the church in many callings, most recently as second counselor in the bishopric of the Washington Fields 7th Ward. He graduated from Ricks College in 1982 and Utah State University in 1985. At the time of his death, he was the Quality Assurance Manager of the Wells Dairy Blue Bunny Manufacturing Plant in St. George. Don loved gardening, the mountains, skiing, and his scooter. However, his greatest love was his family and his Heavenly Father. He loved whatever his children loved, because he could then spend time with them. His best friend was his wife, whom he adored. His life was complete. He is survived by his wife Tracy Poore; his children: Nichole, Jeremy, Ryan, and Travis; his parents Donald and Janette; his sister Janie Cox, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Special thanks to Dr. Taub, Dr. Cobb, Richard, Kim and all other staff and nurses of DRMC ICU and the First floor who provided loving, respectful care to Don and his family.
