St. George, UT - Don Lynn Larsen beloved husband and father age 43, passed away Monday October 12, 2009 from medical complications in St. George, Utah. He was born on January 30, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Annette Sokol on August 27, 1991 in Bountiful, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Templeon June 27, 1998. Don began his career as a cook in Salt Lake City. Later he worked in Mesquite, Nevada where he met his wife in 1985. Became a Sous Chef in Las Vegas, Nevada and continued his career in Salt Lake City, Mesquite and moved to St. George in 2005. Don was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and served on the Activity Committee. He took pleasure by cooking for others, creating new dishes, grilling on his BBQ and music. Enjoyed watching the Discovery, History, Si-fi , Food Network and Comedy Channels. Don is survived by his wife of 24 years Annette Sokol Larsen, their daughters Samantha Lynn(18) and Ashley Nicole (15) Buddy our faithful dog for the last 9 years; sister Kathie Larsen Howick of West Jordan, Utah; brothers Neil Higley of Grantsville, Utah, Stephen Higley of Grantsville, Utah, and Ronnie (Ginah) Higley of Kingman, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his sister Lani Kay Larsen Jones and brother-in-law Rob Howick. He will be remembered by his humorous jokes, Daffy Duck imitation, food, talking to the dog, snoring, willing to help others, language, laugh and how ticklish he was, his impersonations and dressing up. He was a true comedian. He was a real loving and caring man. He took pride in raising his daughters and being DADDY to them. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary, prior to services. A social gathering will be provided by the Snow Canyon 13th ward at 1610 N. Dixie Downs Drive following services.
