St. George, Utah – Donna K. Kounalis, 92, passed away October 30, 2023, in her home in St. George, Utah. She was born April 12, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Johanna Kirton. She married Ray H. Kounalis on January 21, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Donna was able to be a stay-at-home mother and later spend time with her grandchildren. After her husband passed, she moved to St. George to be closer to her family. It was here she decided to spend the rest of her time living and enjoying time with her many loved friends and especially her great grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter in law, Linette; daughter, Leslie (Ruben) Jacobo; five grandchildren: Ray J (Carie) Kounalis, Lacey Kounalis, Jennette (Al) Garcia, Troy Jacobo and Stephanie Jacobo Ruiz. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Katelynn, Rilee, Kasen, Camille and Shilee Kounalis, Stone and Chelsea Criddle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Monday prior to services, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
