St. George, Utah - Donnavieve Nicol Smith Avery, 89, passed away February 27, 2013. She was born July 12, 1923 in Provo, Utah to Hyrum Chase and Isabella "Tressa" Murdoch Nicol. She married Roy B. Smith in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with five children. After Roys passing, she married Loraine Foster Avery in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple.

Donnavieve is survived by her husband, Loraine Foster Avery of St. George; sons: R. Burdell Smith of Pleasant Grove, UT and Travis B. Smith of Oak City, UT; daughter: Colleen Richards of Crossett, AR; 16 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy B. Smith; daughter, Carol Lynn Smith; and son, Garyl Duane Smith.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset LDS 11 ^th Ward Chapel, 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Monday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at the St. George City Cemetery.
