St. George, Utah
– The family of Dora Victoria Vocino York, 91, have announced, with great sorrow, the passing of their beloved mother on October 25, 2019 in St. George, UT. She was born September 12, 1928 to Matteo and Incoronata Palmieri Vocino in Hamtramck, MI. She spoke often of all her relatives in Michigan, whom she dearly loved.
In 1958 she married Paul York, Ret. USAF Chief Master Sgt., World War II and Korean War Veteran. While stationed in France, they had their first two children: Matthew and Kenneth. Their third child, Clifford, was born after moving to Utah.
Her smile and laughter will be missed by all. We love you and miss you, mom.
Dora is survived by her sons: Matthew of Kemmerer, WY, Ken (Sharon) of St. George, UT and Cliff of St. George, UT. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings: Louisa Vocino Magliulo, Dominick Vocino, Angelo Vocino and Nicandro Vocino.
As requested by Dora, no services will be held. A family Memorial Mass will be held in her honor.
