Doris Jane Butler, age 77, passed away on December 13, 2015 in Hurricane, Utah. She was born on January 2, 1938 in Kuna, Idaho to Efton Lawrence and Rosa Jane Book. Doris married E. Louis Butler on February 13, 1957 in Kuna, Idaho.
She attended high school in Kuna, Idaho and Roseville, California where she participated in many sports and lettered in basketball, volleyball and track. She was also an accomplished clarinetist, pianist and singer. She was an excellent student, graduating valedictorian from San Juan High School in Roseville, California.

She was baptized a member of the LDS church March 1, 1958. A true and faithful member her entire life, serving in many callings; Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, Gospel Doctrine Instructor, and the first Matron of the Winter Quarters Temple. Her crowning joy would be her daughter, three sons, nine grandsons, twelve granddaughters, and eighteen great-grandchildren with three more on the way.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurricane LDS 4th Ward Chapel located at 658 West 1500 South, Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will be held 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., at the Chapel. Interment will be at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
