St. George, Utah - Dorothy Lund Rowe, daughter of Orville Didrich and Mildred Boden Lund, passed away July 10, 2013 surrounded by family. She married Benton Martin, and they had 3 children: Paul West, Tana Sue, and Shelli Maureen. She married Phillip Edwin Rowe in 1983 and they resided in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Sandy and St. George.

Dorothy was greatly loved by family and numerous friends. Everyone loved and appreciated her warm personality, focused character and indomitable spirit. She enjoyed cooking, throwing dinner parties, visiting, and laughing- especially at herself. Brilliant and self educated she worked in many settings throughout her life, primarily as an executive secretary. It usually took two people to replace her when she changed jobs. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she immensely enjoyed serving as a gospel doctrine teacher for over 40 years. Her lessons and example will long be remembered.

Dorothy is survived by son, Paul West (Christy); daughter, Tana Page (Randy); 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren; and her much loved step grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip and her daughter Shelli Martin.

Special thanks to doctors Parkinson and Saifee and the staff on the 3rd floor of Dixie Regional Hospital for their loving care these past couple of weeks.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington LDS 8 ^th Ward Chapel, 3519 Manzanita Road, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Tuesday at the Chapel, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., prior to services. Interment will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221.
