St. George, Utah - Dorothy Fay Stanger Hunsaker, 87, passed away April 10, 2015. She was born January 8, 1928 to Roy and Carol W. Stanger in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School, Class of '45. Dorothy met Ellis L. Hunsaker and they were married in Ogden on July 16, 1955. They were later sealed together in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Dorothy and Ellis moved to California in 1960, eventually settling in Buena Park. After the children were teens, she went to work for May Co. Department Store where she retired after 10 years. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many different positions including temple worker in Los Angeles. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ellis, She is survived by her children: Julie (Dennis) Copfer of Bullard, TX, Richard R. (Patricia) Hunsaker of St. George, UT and Ron J. (Paula) Hunsaker of Trabuco Canyon, CA; step-children: Debra (William) Piper and Gary (Diane) Hunsaker; 17 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Carma (Michael) Anderson of Panaca, NV and many other much loved family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St George Blvd, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday, prior to services, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ogden City Cemetery, Ogden, Utah.
