St. George, UT - Dad was born January 19, 1923 to Lew and Elanor Hayward in Kearny, Nebraska. He graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah and met his life long sweetheart Eddean Deanie Barney. They were married on February 20, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the United States Air Force and World War II as a P-38 Fighter Pilot and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deanie; his brother, Lew; and his sister, Cleo Peck. He is survived by his three sons: Brett, Scott and Todd (Kristin); ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He has a tee-time in heaven. The family would like to thank Utah Hospice Specialist for thier very kind care for Dad. A private service will be held at a later date.
