St. George, Utah - Dwight Charles Nelson passed away November 13, 2010. He was born December 23, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles J. and Thelma Elaine Steele Nelson. Dwight enjoyed scouting. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending Special Needs Mutual. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Drexel Nelson. He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Jones and Kathy Wellman and brother, Mark Nelson. A special thanks to Kathy Alicea and Peggy Krupp who were Dwights caregivers and to Southern Utah Home Hospice. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mortuary, prior to services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery.
