Ivins, Utah - E. Edward Gill passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on Christmas morning 2023 in Ivins, Utah.

Edward was born on the 20 of September 1928 in Bovill, Idaho, to Earl Aarn Gill and Dollie (Cooper) Gill.  He attended St. Maries High School and the University of Idaho, graduating with a BS degree in Biological Sciences in 1949.  Subsequently, he taught high school and junior college mathematics, served two years in the Army in California and Japan during the Korean War, earned a master's degree in education administration at Washington State University and was the vice-principal of North Central High School in Spokane, Washington.  His interest in computing brought a career change in the mid 1960's and he served as a computing specialist, chief information officer and consultant in a number of companies including IBM, Boeing Computer Services, Alyeska, and Northwest Energy until his retirement in 2000.

Ed is survived by his wife, Michele Gill; his children: Katey Roemmele, Gary Gill (Nicole Furfaro), & Margaret Gill; grandchildren, Addie & Nico Gill; nephew Patrick Condon; and numerous close friends and colleagues in Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Florida & Utah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dollie Davis, and sister, Betty Condon.

Interment will be at Washington Lawn Cemetery, Centralia, Washington in May.
