Earl George Bladh St. George, Utah - Earl George Bladh, born March 11, 1928 in Los Angeles, California, passed away April 27, 2011 in St. George, Utah. A devoted husband of 59 years to Reba Woodbury of St. George. He is also survived by his seven children: Susan (Dennis) Dunleavy of Kayesville, UT, Earl W. (Lauri) Bladh of Alpine, UT, Eric (Mickey) Bladh of Hacienda Heights, CA, Taylor (Cheryl) Bladh of Chino, CA, Evan (Esperanza) Bladh of South San Francisco, CA, Sydney (Thad) Jesperson of Murrieta, CA, and Richard W. Bladh of San Diego, CA. He was the caring grandfather of 32 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 24. All survive him as he leaves a legacy as a hard working, humble, loving man that was quick to smile, full of humor and was loved by his family and friends. Earl is a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy at the tail end of World War II. He was a faithful LDS missionary in the Swedish Mission from 1948-1950 and later in life he served in the same calling to Sweden with his wife, Reba, from 1991-1993. He retired form the JC Penny Company in 1991, he always seemed to be working with the youth in church. Earl taught hundreds of kids early morning seminary in California for 18 straight years. He also served in such callings as Young Mens President, Scoutmaster, Bishopric Counselor, High Councilman and Bishop. Earl was a fun loving man and a friend to everyone. He was always faithful to his family and to the Lord. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside LDS Branch Chapel, 2434 East Riverside Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will he held on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., and on Saturday, prior to services, from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Chapel.
