St. George, Utah – Edward Daniel "Dan" McArthur, age 73 passed away on May 7, 2020 from injuries resulting from a mountain biking accident.

Dan was born in Salt Lake City on March 6, 1947, son of Edward Daniel McArthur, Sr. and Billie Lou Billingsley McArthur.

He married Colleen Simonson on July 1, 1967 in Salt Lake City. They had 52 wonderful, fun years together.

Dan grew up in Murray, Utah. He graduated from Murray High School and went on to graduate from the University of Utah. As a child he liked riding horses and exploring with his dog Queenie. When he was older, he worked at a dude ranch in Jackson Hole.

He always had a hobby, whether working on cars, motorcycles, or mountain bike riding.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission with his wife in the Philadelphia, PA. mission. He loved serving those around him.

He has worked as a warehouse manager, as a salesman, and a small engine rep.

Dan is survived by his wife, Colleen; their two children: Amanda Boswell (Gary) and

Jenny McArthur; nine grandchildren: Steven Boswell (Emily), Austin Boswell (Madi), Bryan Boswell, Brandon Boswell, AJ Boswell, Jonathan Boswell, Elise Lofgran, Sierra Lofgran, and Mayzie Lofgran; and his sisters: Susan Oliver (Jim) and Linda Conish (Mark).

There will be a private service on Thursday May 14, 2020. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George Utah.
