Washington, Utah – Edwin Will Frantz, 83, left this earthly life on February 4, 2022. He was born April 21, 1938, to Will Mckain Frantz and Evelyn May Phelps in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jensen; son, Michael William Frantz (Debbie); daughter, Lisa Suzanne Segner (David); brother, Larry James Frantz (Karen); 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Bain (Alan); and great-grandchild, Jayden Christopher Case.
Edwin served in the Navy for 6 years with 4 of those on the aircraft carrier USS Independence. He served as a Navy Aerographer's Mate trained in Meteorology and Oceanography. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree specifically in Aeronautical Engineering (major) and Physics (minor) at Utah State University. He had the opportunity to work for United Technologies in Connecticut for several years developing fuel cells for many projects including Apollo spacecraft missions. He later moved to Anderson, Indiana working as an Electrical Engineer, developing electric cars for General Motors and eventually the design and development of car batteries for Delco Remy. He later moved to his dream job as a Professor at Dixie State University teaching a wide range of classes including electronics and math, and added to the technical college, offering ASE, certified mechanics courses in several different areas. He was able to retire and live in the place he wanted to and made many great friends. Ed was a very outgoing person who was willing to talk to anyone.
Ed held many callings and served faithfully for the Lord and for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed teaching the gospel, working in the Temple, and serving as a missionary working with people in the Family History Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington 5 th Ward Chapel, 446 East Mangum Road, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held Wednesday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Garden, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
