St. George, UT - Elsie Brinkerhoff, age 94, passed away July 23, 2009, after suffering several severe strokes. She was born April 11, 1915 in Alamo, Nevada to Nancy Adeline Allen and David Brinkerhoff. She had five brothers and five sisters, all whom have preceded her in death with the exception of one sister Florence Robison. She graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah and attended Excellsis Beauty School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she became a licensed beautician. She owned and operated a beauty shop in San Francisco, California for many years. She retired to St. George about 25 years ago, and enjoyed visiting the many National Parks and special scenery in this area. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Tonaquint Cemetery, under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
