Obituary

Cedar City, Utah – Everal Limb Bowler, one month from her 91st birthday, passed away peacefully at home July 21, 2025.  She was born in Beaver, Utah, August 20,1934 to her father Melbrum Limb and mother Velda Heaps Limb. Everal was the oldest of three sisters, Zola and Zina, whom she loved dearly. Everal lived with her birth parents for her first six years of life until her mother became permanently ill. Everal was then raised by her dear grandmother, Georgina Lang Limb who lived on 300 West in Cedar City, Utah, by the railroad icehouse and the old feed store. Living here would bring a neighborhood filled with fun memories and lasting friendships. When Everal was twelve, her father remarried and she was given a new loving mother, Marge, and a younger sister, Carolyn.  Later, Everal became an older sister to her baby brother Alan and was reunited with her family in a home her father built right next door.

Everal spent all of her school years in Cedar City making lifelong friends, graduating from Cedar High School in 1952.  With life's twists and turns, Everal found herself in St. George, Utah as a single mother. She raised five daughters, Karen, Diane, Heidi, Wendy, and April, and one son, Joseph. Everal lived in St. George for over 60 years and truly had "red sand in her shoes." She started her higher education the same year her son Joseph started Kindergarten. With tenacity, she finished with an Associate's and Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1974 from Dixie College and S.U.S.C respectively.

Everal worked for the Washington County Library for several years before being hired as a Special Education Teacher in the Washington County School District. She retired after 25 years and was loved by many, dear children. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in her callings and loved to worship in the Temple. During these years, Everal married Moroni Bowler and from this marriage gained five wonderful children, Arshal, Jalinda, Leita, Bonnie and Etta.

In 2018, Everal returned to her beloved hometown of Cedar City to live with her son and his family, renewing friendships from her childhood and making more wonderful lifelong friends! While there, she was able to again worship in the Temple with her family and friends and attend her Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) camp meetings. Everal was a member of DUP for over fifty-five years!

Everal will be dearly missed by her children and their spouses: Diane (Quinn), Heidi (Gabe) Raya, Wendy (Thad) Doyle, Joseph (Leslie) Nielsen, Moroni's children, a brother-in-law, Nieces and Nephews and the many children she adopted along the way.  Everal's grandchildren and great grandchildren, too numerous to count, will miss her loving arms, and yet we know she greeted some of her grandchildren on the other side of the veil with those same loving arms.  Everal was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, her husband Moroni, and her daughters: Karen Gott, April Golchin, Etta Madsen and infant daughter Robyn Nielsen. Oh, the reunion!

A funeral to celebrate her life will be held in Cedar City, Utah on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a viewing prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., in the East Bench Ward Chapel located at 1120 West Greens Lake Drive.

Interment with a brief graveside service will be held in St. George, Utah on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery located at 700 East Tabernacle.

The family would like to thank our friend Echo Gent and Applegate Hospice's Tammy Clark for their loving and attentive care of Mama as she finished her work on the Earth.
