Obituary

St. George, UT - Farrell R. Erickson, 90, passed away February 16, 2010. He was born October 4, 1919 in Iona, Idaho. Farrell served bravely in the US Air Corps as a B17 Pilot during WWII. He was shot down over Germany and spent 17 months as a P.O.W. He returned to the US in 1945 and met his wife, Fern. They married on August 7, 1945. Farrell retired from the Air Force after 22 years. He then worked for the FAA until he retired in 1980 and moved to St. George, Utah. He enjoyed golf, his family, travel, gardening and golf. He is survived by his wife, Fern, children; Margaret, Jeanette, Donna and Mark, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the Mortuary, prior to services.
