Obituary

St. George, Utah – Faun Veree Rose, 79, passed away quickly from complications of a massive stroke. Her passing was a shock and loss for all who loved her.

Faun was born October 20, 1936 in Monroe, Utah to Charles Edward Barney and Catherine Mittie Lloyd.

She was married to Don Lindsey Gammon in Evanston, Wyoming on November 3, 1956, who later passed away in January, 1979. She married Roland Hansen on December 29, 1984, who later passed away in May, 2003. She later met Jerry Rose and married him on November 12, 2003 in the Saint George LDS Temple. He passed away on April 9, 2014.

She was raised in Monroe, Utah with three siblings: a brother, Richard; and two sisters, Doris and Rae.

Faun and Don raised their four children in Provo, Utah. She was a loving mother who was spunky and feisty and always loved to socialize. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings and she was loved by many.

Faun is survived by her daughters: Jean Handley of St. George, Deon (David) Wilson of St. George and Lisa Jacobs of Arkansas; son, Jay Gammon of Elk Ridge, Utah; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Provo City Cemetery. A visitation will be Thursday evening, February 25, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. St. George, Utah.
