Fern A. Tieman St. George, UT - Fern A. Tieman was born on October 8, 1914 in Eldon, Missouri and at the age of 94 years she passed away on July 25, 2009. Fern graduated from high school and ended up getting a diploma in Nurse Assisting to the elderly. She enjoyed working with the elderly very much. She also dedicated herself by going to the temple often, and doing genealogy for loved ones. She looked forward to passing out Books of Mormon while traveling on buses for vacation, so that the gospel would be shared with others. Fern served three LDS missions: two in Salt Lake City and one in Chicago, Illinois. She is the mother of four children: Archie Tieman, Terry Tieman, Rickie Tieman and Glenda Pace. Fern has 25 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Fern is with our Heavenly Father and is in peace. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Ivins City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
