Washington, Utah - Floyd B. Sandberg, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 with his wife of 52 years by his side. Floyd Poncho was born March 17, 1915 in Washington, Utah to May Barlocker and Elmer Trolls Sandberg. Floyd spend a great amount of his life herding sheep on Cedar Mountain and the Arizona Strip. He loved deer hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. We affectionately called him the worlds greatest baby-sitter . He is survived by his wife, Rose Sandberg of Washington, UT; daughter, Barbara (Doug) Bundy of Scenic, AZ; daughter, Lorrie (Dennis) Beacham of Enoch, UT; brother, Ivin (Marion) Sandberg of Las Vegas, NV and Pine Valley, UT; sister, Ora Milne of Bloomington, UT; sister in law, Wanda Sandberg Fisher of Washington, UT; sister-in-law, Jeannie (Michael) Beacham of St. George, UT; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edwin, Wayne and William Bill Sandberg, and by a grandson Douglas Bryan Bundy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine View Mortuary, 566 North Mall Drive, St. George, UT. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be at the Washington City Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 90.
