Frances Faye Hounshell Johnson Washington, UT - Frances Faye Hounshell Johnson, 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 6, 2011. She was born January 29, 1935 in Pound, Virginia. Frances met and married David Eccles Johnson in December of 1957 (later divorced) while working as a telephone operator in Washington, D.C. After David was discharged from the Army, they moved to Southern California where Frances worked for Kaiser Steel. While living in California, she joined the LDS church. Frances had many fond memories of the years spent in California with family and friends. They moved to Moab, Utah in 1967 where Frances worked as a waitress in a family-owned restaurant. Four years later they moved to Washington, Utah where she continued working as a waitress for 20 plus years. Frances worked for many years as a caretaker in and out of her home. She was dedicated to serving her family. Frances never forgot a birthday of anyone she ever knew. She enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood growing up in the holler . She is survived by her children: Mike of Washington, UT, Monte of Washington, UT, Rene (Jerald) Cram of Washington, UT, and Shelli (Rex) Christenson of West Valley, UT, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way, brother Allen (Faye) Hounshell of Fairfax, VA and sister Joy Lea Bolling of Wise, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warnie and Ephtha Hounshell, sister Velma Lou, brother Arnold, and son Mark Allen. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington LDS Stake Center, 446 Mangum Rd., Washington, UT. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery.
