Cedar City - Francis B. Dial was born on April 19, 1917 in Shelley, Idaho. He passed away on October 13, 2016 at the age of 99 in Cedar City Utah. Francis married Ruth V Johan on June 15, 1945 in the Mesa, AZ Temple. They lived in Los Angeles and had six children: Ronald, David, Kenneth, Jeffrey, Denise and Diana. Francis was an aerospace engineer. Ruth passed away in 1978. Francis moved to St. George and later married Marcheta Crabb.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior, at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
