Tooele/St. George, Utah - Fredrick Parry Oblad Mikesell, 93, passed away on January 19, 2014 in Tooele, Utah. He was born on June 11, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fredrick and Ada Parry Oblad. He married Elsie Houston on June 4, 1943. They had two children, Michael and Sherry.

Fred joined the Army and was a veteran of WWII. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycles.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Cherrie); daughter, Sherry (Danny); sister, Bonnie (Bud) Alderman; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, LeRoy H. Mikesell; three sisters; and one granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington City Cemetery, Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held on Saturday, prior to services, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary 288 W. St. George Blvd. St. George, Utah.
