Santa Clara, Utah – Garth Gary Hustead, 65, born October 6, 1956, made his journey home to his Father in Heaven on March 21, 2022.

Garth had a true passion for loving, laughing, and living. He was an old soul, loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and of course, ATVing. He definitely was a man's man with his love of hunting, watching Westerns, and his Pittsburgh Steelers and Utah Jazz. Most importantly, however, he loved and adored his family.

Garth was the first-born child of Gary Hustead and Janice Smith Hustead and is the oldest of nine kids: Joni, Daryl, Kent, Brad, Eric, David, Amisha, and Julie.

He spent most of his formative years in Placentia, California. The family moved to SAlt Lake City where he graduated from Skyline High School in 1974. At the age of ten, he met and grew up with his sweetheart, LeAnn Vreeken Hustead. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on December 1, 1977. They celebrated 44 years of marriage in mortality and raised five children, Ernie, Gareth, Justin, Jennie, and Crystal.

Garth is survived by his mother, his siblings, his wife, his children, and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara 11 ^th Ward Chapel, 3815 Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Monday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery located at 1950 Ancestor Way.
