Obituary

St. George, UT - Gary Michael Bingham was born January 29, 1947 in Lennox, CA, to Wanda Mae Howard and Reuben Stetson Bingham. He passed away August 1st, 2009 in St. George, Utah, at the age of 62. Gary fought and won a valiant battle with leukemia and had returned to work until recently, when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. He grew up in California, where he graduated from high school and then trained with the U.S. Marine Corps as a gunnery sergeant. He owned and operated a Laundromat in Snyder, TX., for ten years before moving to St. George. Gary learned to drive truck where he became a professional driver in every sense of the word. Gary drove over a million miles in ten years, earned many safe driving awards, led the company consistently in fuel economy, and received the Utah Driver of the Month for the State of Utah. Gary enjoyed being outdoors and hiking, but his main love was the game of tennis. Gary was an avid fan and dedicated player, earning numerous awards and trophies. He also gained many friends throughout the years while playing in Texas, Arizona and Utah. He is survived by his good friends Peter and Rachel VanValkenburg, Leslie and Bekky Butler, and his family at Parke Cox Trucking. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. At Garys humble request there will be no services held.
