St. George, Utah - Gary Jones, 81, went to sleep Friday night, November 9, 2012 and left to meet his Heavenly Father and loved ones. He was born September 8, 1931 in Inglewood, California. He married his eternal companion, Gisela Bewernick on May 11, 1956 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

Gary resided in St. George, Utah for 44 years. His life was filled with service as a stake missionary. As a devoted father, he loved working in the garden with his family. They raised orchids and all kinds of vegetables. He loved scuba diving and all family outings.

He is survived by his wife, Gisela Jones; his children: Teresa, David, Heidi, Lisa, Renee, Jennifer and Chase; 34 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Carter.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington LDS Stake Center, 200 West Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery.
