Gay Shirley Goaslind, 96, passed away June 9, 2025, in Stockton, California. She was born on January 14, 2029, in Hermosa Beach, California to Herman and Hannah Missall.

Gay married James Clyde Cooley on November 22, 1949. They had four children: Kathryn, Michael, Susan, and Christine. Gay later married Bob Lee Goaslind on August 21, 1968.

Gay was an accomplished pianist and organist. She devoted her life to music through teaching and performance.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her daughter, Kathryn Gay Normand.

She is survived by her children: Michael James Cooley, Susan Denise Daniel (Dan) and Christine Alice Fleckenstein (Robert-deceased); eight grandsons: Jeremy John Daniel (Tera), Jeffrey Daniel (John), Adam Christopher Daniel (Samantha), Ryan James Fleckenstein (Candace), Joseph Emmanuel Daniel (Kavita), Michael Eugene Fleckenstein, Christopher Robert Fleckenstein (Viviana) and Gentry Clark Cooley (Sharayah); and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Brio Ward Chapel, 860 North Fairway Drive, Washington, Utah.
