Obituary

St. George, Utah - Gearldean "Geri" Woollard passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, February 22, 2013 at her home in St. George, Utah. Geri was born October 1, 1923 in rural Iowa to Roy and Ethel Page Smith. She was married to George Woollard for 49 years before he passed away in 1991.

Geri and George spent their early married life in the Midwest before settling in Denver. They raised three children together and were true partners in life. They retired to St. George, but traveled to all 50 states and Europe. Geri was a fantastic cook and loved books, music, and crafts. She was active in her church and was instrumental in establishing the First eastern Star Chapter in St. George.

Geri is survived by her three children: Paul (Dory) Woollard, Linda (Don) Blanchard and Lois Overton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Nadia Goldsworth; and many cherished friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Learning Center.
