Littlefield, AZ - Gene Richard Brown, Beloved Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-law & Friend passed away suddenly March 19, 2010 from severe pneumonia. We have lost a GREAT STORYTELLER and the best Accordion player ever. Gene was born to David M Brown & Mervine Brown on January 30, 1942 .He married Connie Nielsen October 2, 1961. They were later sealed in the LDS Temple on June 28, 2002 for time and all eternity. Gene was a man of many trades. He worked at Kennecott for 32 years as a Graphics Art Clerk. He was a Mechanic, Electrician, and Handy Man. You ask him to fix it and he could. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He trusted and loved everyone he met. A handshake was his bond. He truly loved spending time with his One True Love, children, and grandchildren; and supported them all. He had various callings in the church and dearly loved his ward choir. Gene is survived by his wife, Connie; children: Gina Wrigley (Richard), Stacy Earnshaw (Rodney), Danny Brown (Kathi), Chandra Hoyt (Matthew), and Lewis Alas (Bethany); 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. (Arizona Time) / 12:00 p.m. (Utah Time) at the Littlefield LDS Ward Chapel, 3260 East Old Hwy 91, Littlefield, Arizona. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel, prior to services. Interment will be at the Littlefield City Cemetery.
