Obituary

LaVerkin, Utah - George Jackson Warren, 85, passed away peacefully October 6, 2019 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 1, 1934, in Patterson, Georgia to Letho and Evie Joyner Warren. He married Mildred Gouldsmith on November 2, 1962 in Reno, Nevada in a little wedding chapel downtown.
George served our country and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in 1956. He was a handyman and was an expert at tile laying. He continued in Civil Service and retired from the US Government after more than 30 years. He found his faith in Jesus late in life and loved his church and church family. George loved a good old black and white western. As a young man, he loved to fish, camp and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Millie Warren; his children: Susan (Larry) Hampton, Michael (Patricia) Warren, Jody (Bobby) Lopez, and Keith (Candi) Warren; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Juanice Furmanski and Laquita Boatright.
George was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill Warren; sister, Francis Reese; his beloved daughter, Lori Manning; and his grandson, Daniel Hampton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Bible Church, 88 North State Street, LaVerkin, Utah. Interment will be in the LaVerkin City Cemetery.
