Georgia "Jo" Roberta Cragun left this life for the next on Sunday evening, January 3, 1009 with her beloved husband Paul by her side. She was born to James Elmer Dills and Francis Esther Steele on August 6, 1922 in Albany, Missouri. She married Paul Marlin Cragun on December 16, 1976, which was the beginning of a wonderful adventure for them both. Jo inherited a large extended family when she married Paul and she accepted his children and grandchildren as her own, loving each and every one, and being dearly loved in return. Jo was a talented seamstress and accomplished pianist. She and Paul also loved genealogy. She and Paul spent many happy years traveling around the United States in their RV researching their lineage and playing with the Arizona Old Time Fiddlers where Jo would accompany Paul on the piano as he played his fiddle. Jo was a very special woman with the ability to make everyone feel loved and accepted. She was warm, gracious, kind, loving and spunky. She had an inner strength that served her well her entire life as she endured many physical hardships and illnesses. Jo was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a deep belief in her Savior Jesus Christ. Jo was preceded in death by her son Dr. Jeff Rackham. She is survived by her husband Paul, her stepchildren Scott, Brent, Corey and Bruce Cragun, her daughter-in-law DeDe Rackham, several loving nieces and many grandchildren who will miss their "Granny Jo". A funeral service will be held Friday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. before the service.
