Obituary

Santa Clara, Utah – Geraldine Lee Thomas, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
The youngest of six children, Geri was born June 4, 1934, and lived in Newport, Ky, which is where she met her future husband, Richard A. Thomas.  They were married on December 1, 1951 and in 1961 they moved to Santa Rosa, Ca with their three children. In 1999 they retired to Santa Clara, Utah where they soon became involved in the Senior Center as volunteers.
Geri was a very social person. She loved making new friends, getting people to laugh, playing cards with friends and spending time with her extended family.  At one time she was a certified chaplain and loved to provide comfort and assistance to people in times of need.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Steve (Linda) Thomas, Charles Diana (Charles) Kelley and John Thomas; grandchildren: Douglas, Sara, Steve, Katrina, Dustin, Patrick, Andrew, Samantha, Joshua and Marissa; and great-grandchildren: Julia, Aiden, Elijah, Oliver, Jaxon, Tana, and Isla.
Services will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
