St. George, UT - Gertrude Elizabeth Herrmann Evans, 86, was reunited with her husband, Bert P. Evans on April 3, 2010 when she departed this life from St. George, Utah. She was born on January 24, 1924 to William Julius Herrmann and Johanna Liedtke in Alameda, Alameda County, California. She taught school and raised her family in Hanford, California. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Bert Phillip Evans, her parents and her brother William. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Fink, her brother George Herrmann (Launa), her daughter Marsha Ann McGee (Randel), Gail Louise Evans Baker, Mark Phillip Evans, Julie Evans, and Denise Evans Ward (Martin Townsend); eight grandchildren, Nathan R. McGee (Bethany), Melanie Ann Evans (Michael), Adam M. McGee (Ashly), Matthew A. P. McGee, Aaron J. McGee, Wm. Bryce Ward, Amber Baker, and Brian Baker; and four great-grandchildren, and another soon to arrive great granddaughter.Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Orchard LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 810 East 600 North, Orem, Utah. Visitation will be held Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the chapel, prior to services. Interment will be Saturday, April 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Provo City Cemetery.
