Obituary

Gina Tori O'Neal, 30, passed from her earthly mother's arms, at home, into her Heavenly Father's arms the morning of November 17, 2018. Gina had been battling kidney cancer with the strength of a warrior for two years.

She was born in Salt lake City, Utah at the LDS Hospital, on April 19, 1988 to her father, Stephen Allan O'Neal and mother, Tracie Faye Jones O'Neal Nichols.

Gina lived her first five years in Tooele, where both of her parents graduated High School. She attended grade school and played soccer in Spring Creek, Nevada. She graduated from Canyon View High School in Cedar City, Utah, where she began her art studies. She attended, graduated from, and mentored at Snow College of Ephraim, Utah, making lifelong friends with students and faculty.

She was attending PNCA of Portland, Oregon when a diagnosis of a brain tumor brought her back home. She handled the surgery and radiation beautifully at Huntsman. She stayed in Salt Lake City for a while, working at Convergys. She returned to Cedar City to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art/Studio Studies from SUU. Her family was very proud, yet saddened to see her move back to Ephraim, landing a job in her field of study, Gallery Manager at The Granary.

At the Gunnison Hospital, she was diagnosed with a large kidney tumor.

Gina was an accomplished artist, selling prints and paintings for as much as $400.00 each. She was always kind and made friends wherever she went. She was the best big sister and auntie anyone could want. She fought as long as she could because she wanted to watch her nieces grow and teach them about art.

Gina's ashes will be spread where she enjoyed camping with her father and little sister, as well as under trees in her families' yards.

She is survived by her father, Stephen Allan O'Neal of Elko, Nevada; mother, Tracie Faye Nichols of St. George, Utah; sister, Kimberlee Trishell Winder of Cedar City, Utah; two beautiful nieces she adored, Brooklyn and Charlotte; grandmother, Joyce Jones of Tooele, Utah as well as four aunts, one uncle and several cousins.

Thank you St. George Cancer Center, Dr. Rhodes, Dr. Ashton, IHC Hospice and Home Health and NP Sheila.
