Obituary

Glen C Anderson, born on July 5, 1947, in Logan, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025, with his beloved wife, Rachel C Anderson, affectionately known as RC, by his side.

Glen is survived by his four children from his first marriage to Kathleen Ellis Anderson: Rob (Becky) Anderson, Nicole (Tim) Green, Aimee (Matt) Whetman, and Jill (Tyson) Downs. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren and a great-grandfather to seventeen great-grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Nadine Anderson, and his sister, Shanen Fletcher. He is also survived by his two brothers, Ivan (Diana) Anderson and Carl (Cindy) Anderson.

Glen was born in Logan, Utah, and grew up in Roy, Utah. He spent many years living in the Weber County area. Known for his incredible work ethic, Glen was passionate about his work and took great pride in supporting the careers of others.

Glen started working at a young age at Peterson Hershire Farm, then worked at Hobart Manufacturing to support himself and his young family while attending college. He was always grateful for the time he spent working for Keith Combe at Arctic Circle before moving to Boise Cascade. He finished his career at Anderson Lumber, which later became Stock Building Supply.

Glen graduated from Weber High School and was a member and president of Sigma Delta Pi while attending Weber State College. He loved and was loved by so many people, making many lifelong friends along the way. Glen had a great sense of humor and loved to tease everyone. He was the life of the party, always ensuring everyone was having a good time.

Glen had a passion for fishing, hunting, and golfing, and he especially hated being out-fished by his dad or his son. Despite having polio as a child and struggling with its side effects throughout his life, Glen remained incredibly active both indoors and outdoors at all times.  He was a lifelong supporter of the Weber Athletic program and was a proud participant in Ducks Unlimited.

Glen loved his furry family, welcoming and saying goodbye to many spoiled pets over the years. He always had projects and took great pride in his yard. He worked hard and played hard, spending many summers in Bear Lake and finishing his retirement in Littlefield, AZ.

Glen cherished the opportunity to care for his parents in their final years, viewing it as a profound honor and blessing to serve them.

A special statement of appreciation goes to Rachel for her unwavering support and love for Glen. Her dedication and care were a source of strength and comfort for him throughout their time together. Glen loved RC deeply, and she loved her cowboy.

Glen's legacy of dedication, love for his family & friends, and his vibrant personality will be remembered by all who knew him. His commitment to his work and the people around him has left a lasting impact on his community and family.

The kids believe Dad is fishing right now with his parents, probably getting out-fished by both.  They look forward to the day they will see him again.  We love you Dad, you will be missed.

We will be honoring Glen's life with two special events.

The first celebration of life will be held at the Anderson residence in Littlefield, AZ on Saturday, May 24, 2025 starting at 3:00 p.m.
