Obituary

Glen Hummel of Katy, Texas passed away on September 19, 2021.  He was born in Tucson, Arizona on July 5, 1931, to Louis C. Hummel and Ina Wilson Hummel.

Glen attended Tucson High School and graduated from the University of Arizona.  He served in the U.S. Army and taught school for many years in Pittsburg, California.

He is survived by his four daughters, Marjorie de la Pena, Shandy Hummel, Arabella Adams, and Ina Hummel; his grandchildren, Karina Hummel, Jessica Adams, Tristyn de la Pena, and Solei de la Pena.  He also leaves two sisters, Kay Goddard and Joan Canady.  His brother, Gordon Hummel and sister, Loueen Lucas predeceased him.

He was a member of a Barbershop Choir while living in Sequim, Washington.  His life was devoted to his faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) where he served in many ways.

Funeral services will be held in Katy, Texas.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held in St. George, Utah on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery, 600 East Tabernacle Street.
