St. George, UT - Gordon W. Wilson, 73, went to meet the Lord on December 9, 2013 in St. George, Utah. He was born on March 6, 1940 in Sidney, Nebraska to Cleon D. Wilson and Lucille Burton. He married Martha S. Childress of Dyersburg, Tennessee on June 5, 1964. Most of Gordons childhood was spent in Littleton, Colorado until he moved his senior year to Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was a Senior Designer in Memphis, Tennessee, Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah. Gordon loved football, fishing and golfing. As a Christian, he believed in Jesus Christ as our Savior and attended the First Southern Baptist Church of St. George, Utah. Survived by his wife Martha Wilson, children: Wendy (Bill) Hurley of Austin, Texas and Steven (Lisa) Wilson of Rogers, Arkansas, sister Carol (Milton) Koffman, grandchildren: Casey Campbell, Amber Avery, Nicolet Hurley, Gabrielle Hurley, Lauren Hurley, Matthew Wilson, and Anthony Wilson, and great grandchildren: Ellie Avery and Milli Campbell. Services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 326 S 600 E, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd. from 12:30 to1:30 p.m., prior to services. Graveside services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee at a later date.
