Graham Duncan "Dunc" MacDonald IV, 75, passed away on May 27, 2016. He was born June 30, 1940 in Cedar City, Utah to Graham Duncan MacDonald III and Mary Macfarlane MacDonald. He was the fourth first born and a son for four generations, which there is a fifth and sixth also first born son.
Graham attended schools in Cedar City, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Logan, Utah. He graduated college from Utah State University with a degree in Range Science. His childhood was spent mainly with his grandparents; Macfarlane and MacDonald, where he acquired a love for the land and animals.
After high school, he worked on the Glen Canyon Dam, served in the Army, worked for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, retiring after near 38 years of service. His life was spent on a great venture doing a great many things, mostly involving livestock, wildlife and anything to do with a horse.
Graham leaves behind his wife, Kathleen of 43 plus years; his children: Graham V (Carolyn), of Alaska, Wendy of LaVerkin, Utah and Calvin (Kristina) of Tooele, Utah; grandchildren: Kyle (Laycee), Kody, Kathlyn, Carson, Graham VI, Anicelyn, Taylor, Kadence and Haidey; great-grandchildren: Karlee, Ryker and a little one on the way; his sweet mother, Mary; sister Lauren (Jim) Varney and many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Laura.
He was greeted by his father Graham III; brother, Robert; grandparents, MacDonald and Macfarlane and many other family and friends to start his new adventure.
By his request, there will be a private ceremony at the MacDonald Ranch, so that he may be in a place that he so loved.
